Women’s Spirituality

Every Woman’s Story is a spiritual awakening.

Within each woman’s heart is a call to express.

When a woman is too busy to hear her deeper self, nourish parts of her life that she ignores, and judges her needs and feelings, she loses her authentic reason for being alive. Many women need to find their inner strength, and be encouraged to achieve an in-powerment that nurtures her soul-life. Every woman needs time to be alone, listen to her intuitions and taste the passion of her wild woman…to paint, write, dance, sculpt and sing her story.

A Woman’s spiritual voice is her-story guided by her intuitions, visions and aliveness. Spontaneous healing on many levels occurs when a woman tells her truth.

Prayer is an intention to heal, create and renew your life. The mystery of the unknown is the most challenging practice in order to find your unique spiritual path.  We cannot control life, only respond and make choices. Balance and flow is found through the simplicity of acceptance and being in the moment.

Within the process of renewal is a recovery of our truth. Alcoholics Anonymous inspired the twelve-step program, the most globally influential program toward spiritual renewal:

·   Honesty ·   Humility
·   Faith ·   Willingness
·   Surrender ·   Forgiveness
·   Soul Searching ·   Acceptance

Wild Woman Inventory

Women often wear their passions (like their hearts) on their sleeves. Being passionate is the first prerequisite to realizing our dreams. Look back over your life and write, draw and express in some way the first passionate moment you can remember.

Take a few minutes to reflect on each decade of your life: your childhood, your teens, your twenties, thirties, forties, fifties…so on. What were the chief passions in each of these life periods? These passions might involve person, place or things.

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and relax. Come into your body.

Allow yourself to wander inside of yourself. Let your wild woman guide you. Answer these questions:

  • Why did you care so much about this passion?
  • Who inspired this passion or discouraged this passion?
  • How did it help to you grow:
  • What did you learn about yourself?
  • How did this passion change your life-story?
  • What held back the passion?
  • What intention do you want to set to evoke a new passion?
  • How old were you when you felt this passion?
  • What did you want to express at the time?
  • What creative expression satisfied this passion?
